  1. What can one expect to gain from attending this conference?
    A participant will enhance their skills as a writer. One will also learn how to manifest and publish a book. Editors will teach guides to effective editing. The highly qualified staff will be a great resource for you to address your individual needs.
     
  2. Is this conference for someone that is an experienced writer or for someone setting out to write their first book?
    Both. We are offering a wide range of workshop classes that will meet the needs of all levels of writing.
     
  3. Is there any age and writing style limitations?
    The conference is open to all people of all styles of writing. Poetry, non-fiction, fiction, nature, and children's authors will be covered at the conference.
     
  4. How much does it cost?
    The cost is $95.00 which includes a continental breakfast and catered lunch on Saturday.
     
  5. Will I be able to meet with the presenters one-on-one?
    Most definitely. At breaks in the schedule and during meal times, ask your favorite writers your individual questions. The round table session on Saturday is tailored so attendees can ask questions of the presenters. Also, if you've requested a formal critique of one of your own works (see item # 9 below), you'll get the opportunity to discuss your submission and the author's critique of it.
     
  6. Is there to be a book signing?
    Yes. We have scheduled it into our program.
     
  7. Where is Crescent City?
    Crescent City is on the North Coast of California, 30 miles south of the Oregon border.

  9. Can I have one of the authors/speakers critique one of my works?
    Yes. Attendees can submit 10 pages or 3,000 words to be critiqued by one presenter (NOTE: Not all presenters will be performing critiques; your submission will be handled by an available presenter). $50 will be charged for each critique. The attendee will spend 15-20 minutes with the presenter during the 4:00-4:20 p.m. critique session on Friday.
    Standard page criteria apply: 1 inch margins, 12 point Times or Times New Roman, double-spaced, 250-300 words per page. Deadline for manuscript: must be received by or before August 1.
